research

I looked into the industries ideas behind price, distribution, target audience etc of the magazines i was studying. Finding the average age of the reader/audience was around 22 and well over half of the readers were male. £2.20 seems to be a favorite price therefore it brings it to the forefront of my own ideas.

initial ideas

I plan my magazine to be based around the metal/alternative scene in warrington, and naming it "Witness the Filth!" (WTF!), based at 15-30 year olds.

The cover will be primarily influenced by Kerrang and NME magazines cover in their informal "big" feeling presentation therefore appealing to the target audience more.
